Youth team back in action...
THE SADDLERS' youth team were back in action following an enforced winter break as we shared the spoils with a goalless draw at Macclesfield Town."We were outstanding in the first half," said Academy Manager, Neil Woods. "I was delighted with some of the football that we played and we should have been a couple of goals to the good at the break.
"The second half petered out as both sides started to look leggy having not been in action for a number of weeks.
"Our hosts may have slightly edged it after the break without really threatening us too much.
"All in all I felt that we defended well when we had to and played some decent stuff at times. We will certainly benefit from having this gam under our belts as we prepare for an important phase of the season ahead."
