SMITH ON LATEST HOME WIN

2 February 2013

Boss delighted by latest triumph...

THE SADDLERS recorded our second successive 3-1 home win as we came from behind to beat Oldham Athletic.

"It was tough at times," admitted manager, Dean Smith. "Oldham started at a better tempo than us and for the opening 25 minutes we had to hang onto their coat-tails.

"But we responded to them taking the lead and pushed on from there to get the three points.

"Oldham have got some good players in their team so we had to be at our best to come back from going a goal down. I thought that we were excellent in the second half.

"It's five home wins on the spin now; it's pleasing but we have to make sure that we don't rest on our laurels and continue working hard because we have some tough games coming up.

"I was delighted with the way in which we reacted to last weekend's defeat and now hopefully we can start another positive run."
