GLAD TO BE BACK

McCarey on his Banks's Stadium return...

GOALKEEPER, Aaron McCarey checked back into Banks’s Stadium earlier today on a loan deal from Championship neighbours, Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 International had a successful spell with The Saddlers earlier in the season where he got his first taste of League action.

“I’m very pleased to be back at the club,” said the 21 year-old. “It’s nice to come back into a winning team that is making good progress, and hopefully I can play my part in helping that continue.

“Towards the end of my first spell here, you could see that the team was starting to turn the corner and I am not surprised one bit by the recent run that they have been on.

“I’ve kept a close eye on the results and it’s great to see the team challenging at the right end of the table.

“It’s good to come back and be part of that; from a personal point of view, it’s nice to know that I will be here until the end of the season and have the opportunity to play regular games over the next few months.

“It will be an easy transition because I already know everyone at the club, so I will be looking to hit the ground running and do my best.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge. I just want to play as often as I can and give a good account of myself to help the team enjoy a successful end to the season.”
