TEAM GAME FOR HEMMINGS

6 December 2013

Wide-man displaying a good attitude...

AS WE prepare to go into FA Cup second round battle at Leyton Orient on Saturday, Ashley Hemmings has stressed the importance of it being a team effort as we take on the League One high-flyers.

"We know that we are good enough to fancy our chances against anyone at this stage of the competition," he said. "All the boys are fired up and ready for it.

"As a group, we know that we have to keep supporting each other to make us strong as a unit and this has served us well so far this season, particularly against the better teams.

"This is a big opportunity for us to go out there, work hard and hopefully progress into the next round. A good run in the FA Cup can really give us a boost and help us make our mark."

Hemmings has been in and out of the team so far this term, but has displayed a good attitude. "I'm still learning," he admitted. "It's a long season and I know that my chance will come again and I have to be prepared to take it.

"I started the season in the team and now I'll keep pushing to get back in, but at the same time support my team-mates.

"It's a squad game and when the opportunity comes, I'll be ready to show the manager what I can do."
