Full-back looking ahead to next challenge...
FULL-back, Andy Taylor, has admitted that we fell short of the standards that we have set ourselves so far this season in our Boxing Day defeat at Bristol City.
“It’s always frustrating when you get beaten,” he said. “We didn’t create too much and seemed a little more open that we usually are at the back.
“We’re normally tight and organised, but it wasn’t really the case on this occasion.
“They came out and set a good early tempo and once we were able to deal with it we already found ourselves a goal down and we found it hard to break them down.
“It was not our best performance, we know that, and it’s a case of putting it to bed and moving on.
“It’s a good thing that we have a game coming straight up to start again. We’ll be ready for the next challenge and hopefully take the opportunity to get back into winning ways.
“Consistency is the key and that is what we are striving to get here.”
