MORRIS LOAN SWITCH

6 December 2013

Young winger heads out on loan...

EMERGING winger, Kieron Morris, has today linked up with Conference North outfit, Leamington on loan until January 14th 2014.

The youth team product was handed his first professional contract during the summer of 2012 and last term had a spell out on loan at Worcester City.

Handed a new deal at the start of the current campaign, he has been a regular for the reserves, where his pace and skill has served us well.

“We’ve not got a lot of reserve team games between now and January,” admitted manager, Dean Smith. “This is the opportunity for him to go out and play regular, competitive football at a decent level.

“He wants game time and having sent Jake Heath out on loan to Leamington this season, I know at first-hand that they are a club who look to do things the right way and play good football.

“This move will help his development.”

Morris is relishing the opportunity to get some matches under his belt. “This time of the year is always busy, with the games coming thick and fast,” he added. “I’m looking forward to the chance to play regularly and show the Gaffer what I can do.

“I know that the club will monitor my progress very closely, so it’s an opportunity to really stake my claims for a first-team place here.”
