Smith on victory at Shrewsbury...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, was a happy man after seeing his side run out worthy 1-0 winners at Shrewsbury Town.

"We knew the wind would be a factor," he said. "I thought we were excellent in the first half and I'm not sure how we didn't go in at the break in front.

"But we kept at it to get our reward with a well-worked goal.

"We played really well for an hour here and then defended well when we had to. It's always nice to go away from home and keep a clean sheet. Everyone made a contribution and can be pleased with our efforts.

"They tried to press us and stop Romaine Sawyers getting on the ball, but we were alive to it and I thought that Craig Westcarr in particular was fantastic with his movement and understanding.

"It's about finding where the space is and we were able to do that.

"You have to work extremely hard to get any points in this League, so I am delighted with this win."
