Smith in upbeat mood...
WE'VE had two winning results from two very different games so far.I've been pleased with our performances; at Port Vale on Tuesday evening we had to be organised and resilient on what was a slow pitch initially, but we adapted really well to get a deserved reward in the end.
We now face another tough game at Oldham Athletic. They have a number of new faces in their side and we know that we will have to be at our best.
I had them watched last weekend and it looks like they have goals in them, but similarly there are areas that we can exploit if our preparation is right.
We go there full of confidence and it has all the ingredients to be an entertaining game.
The players are certainly taking on board what we want; their organisation is good and they have proven very good at problem-solving during matches.
There is excellent competition for places and the lads know that they have to perform both individually and collectively.
