BOSS TALK v NOTTS COUNTY H

16 August 2013

Boss looking forward to home return...

IT'S been a good start so far. That said, there's still a long way to go but we're looking bright and have a willingness to improve and continue progressing.

It will be another tough test for us against Notts County. They have some good players in their ranks and Chris Kiwomya is starting to put his stamp on things.

I watched them against Sheffield United in their opening game of the season; they've had some difficult fixtures so far and have suffered at the hands of suspension and injury, but I expect them to come here and be tricky opponents.

We will be looking to continue our impressive home form and hopefully we'll have a good crowd here to cheer us on.

Last weekend's victory at Oldham saw us put in an impressive defensive display, whilst also playing some decent stuff and breaking with pace.

We know that we can't get complacent; we have to keep doing the right things and build on that early momentum.

Andy Taylor will be missing once more, but generally we have been injury free and credit for this must go to Jon Whitney for the injury prevention work that he does with the players each day. A lot of time and effort goes into this area and it has certainly benefited us.
