Smith reflects on home draw with Notts County...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith has reflected upon our 1-1 home draw with Notts County.

"After taking the lead, I was disappointed that we couldn't hold on," he said. "It was a bitty first half; we didn't move the ball as quickly as we would have liked.

"We spoke at half-time about being able to stretch their back four and we started the second period well.

"It was a good goal from Romaine to give us the lead and we had chances after that to put the game out of sight, but unfortunately we didn't take them.

"We had to hold on after they equalised as the momentum changed, but I was pleased with the way that we defended and put our bodies on the line.

"As long as we are creating chances, the goals will come. The resilience of the team is pleasing me at the moment. We have a never-say-die attitude and I know that we will only get better."
