Youth team beat Morecambe...

THE SADDLERS' youth team ran out 4-1 winners against Morecambe.

"We started brightly on a very bobbly pitch," said youth coach, Graham Biggs. "We got our noses in front early on when Jacob Hobbis cut inside from the right to fire home.

"We continued to press, playing some neat passing football and doubled our advantage in then fifth minute through Alex Reid.

"Our football really was a joy to watch at this stage and we were dominant. It was 3-0 on 17 minutes when Danny Griffiths fired home.

"We took our foot off the gas and allowed our hosts back into it and they pulled a goal back just before the break.

"The second period started with us looking lively again, however, on the hour Griffiths was sent off for his second bookable offence.

"The game became disjointed with both teams unable to get a foot-hold in the game. With ten minutes to go, Hobbis netted his second and our fourth of the game.

"We had another chance late on as Redi saw an effort cleared off the line."

WALSALL: R. Jones, Sinton, Garner (Dallison), Christopherou, Henry, Hobbis, Ashmore (Kinsella), Flanagan, Reid, Rush (Bakayoko), Griffiths. Subs not used: McKenzie, C. Williams
