Boss looking forward to Iron test...

WE'VE done our debrief on last weekend's game against Sheffield United and whilst our initial feeling was one of disappointment that we couldn't take the chances that came our way to secure all three points, some of the football that we played was very pleasing on the eye.

It shows how far we have come that this was the case and the mood amongst the lads is extremely upbeat as we look forward to the next game.

We face a Scunthorpe United side who need the points to pull themselves away from relegation danger. We've been down there ourselves in the past few seasons, so we know how they are feeling.

They will be a hard proposition for us and we know that we are going to have to be at our best to get anything out of the game. Our attitude has to be spot-on; we need to apply ourselves the right way and I have every faith in my players to be able to do that.

It was nice to hear that Early Bird season-ticket sales are at their highest for six years. I've always said that I want to see us play decent football with players who work hard and that the supporters can relate to.

We've got that now and it's nice to see both the players and supporters with smiles on their faces. The fans have backed us with over 2,000 Early Bird season-tickets sold and it's been encouraging to see big crowds for our last two home games to create a fantastic atmosphere within the stadium that we have really thrived upon.
