Boss on win at Bournemouth

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith was in upbeat mood following our 2-1 victory at AFC Bournemouth.

"We controlled the game for long periods and were extremely organised," he said. "We didn't allow them to play between our lines, and even when they equalised, we kept going to get our reward in the end.

"I felt that we could have killed the game off earlier; the front two worked extremely hard and, once more, everyone played their part in this win.

"We kept a good shape with and without the ball. The team ethic is there and a tremendous spirit exists amongst the group.

"Bournemouth have got a good calibre of player in their team, so to come here and get three points is fantastic. We will enjoy the win, but our focus must quickly turn to Tuesday's game.

"We have to be ready to go again and do another job. The thing about this team is that they want to learn and get better. We're taking it one game at a time, but obviously we are delighted with the start we have made."

Smith then proceeded to take his squad to the beach for a dip in the sea to celebrate the victory!
