NICKY TAKES THE POSITIVES

19 September 2012

Midfield man ready to bounce back...

MIDFIELD man, Nicky Featherstone was disappointed to see our unbeaten League run come to an end at Stevenage.

“It’s a tough place to come,” he said. “We did well to get ourselves back into the game, but it was a great strike to put them back in front.

“That said, there were a lot of positives to come out of the game. It’s now a case of assessing our display and be ready for Preston.

“Obviously we’re disappointed, but we’re not too down and we’ll be extra determined to put things right next time. There’s no reason why we can’t go on another unbeaten run.

“Everyone wants to play the right way and that’s what we are trying to do. There is good competition for places in the squad and that keeps us on our toes.

“The spirit here is excellent and it has helped the new lads settle in quickly.

“Things are so close in this League that a couple of results and we’ll be right back up there.”
