ST. GEORGE'S Park, the new National Football Centre, will welcome an England Senior side through its doors for the first time when Women’s National Coach, Hope Powell and her squad arrive on Friday.
They will stay in the Hilton Hotel and will get to experience the first-class facilities on offer as they prepare for Wednesday's crucial UEFA Women's Euro 2013 Qualifier against Croatia here at Banks's Stadium (kick-off 5.00pm).
Powell has been to the venue a number of times and is looking forward to taking her team there.
“It is great for the Women’s Senior team to be training at St. George’s Park for the first time," she said. "The facility is fantastic. With everything on site and close to hand the environment will allow us to prepare properly for such a crucial game.”
England will be readying themselves for their final Euro 2013 qualifier, a game which will be screened exclusively live on BBC Two.
A win will seal automatic qualification to next summer’s European Championship Finals in Sweden. England beat Croatia 6-0 in March.
