Bowerman keen to keep his starting place...

EMERGING front-man, George Bowerman marked his first start of the season with a goal and assist in our 2-2 draw with Brentford last weekend.

“I’ve been pushing for a starting place throughout the summer,” said the lively 20 year-old. “It’s been a while in coming, but my performances off the bench have warranted it and now hopefully I can keep my place for the next game.

“It’s a big season for me and I know that if I keep performing and continue to score goals, I will keep my place in the team.

“We’ve been playing some good stuff this season and creating plenty of chances. As an attacking force we’ve been bright and have some quick and exciting players in wide positions such as Jamie Paterson and Ashley Hemmings who I know will create opportunities for the strikers.

“All I want to do is score goals and help the club progress. I practice my finishing all of the time and learn a lot from those around me. I am determined to make an impact this year and establish a starting place.”
