TEAM TALK v BURY, 27/10/2012

Boss looking forward to Bury...

WE TRAVEL to face a Bury side who finally tasted victory for the first time this season in midweek with a good win over Hartlepool United.

They've come close to breaking their duck in recent weeks. We've watched them a few times and know that we are in fr a tough game against a determined and well-organised side.

Kevin Blackwell has come in and made an impact, so we will have to be ready for the challenge that they will present to us.

We were resolute at Sheffield United after going a goal down and being reduced to ten men early on. We were never out of the game and, to be fair, Karl Darlow was rarely tested. I felt that we were organised and defended well and created some decent chances of our own.

It was good to see Paul Downing come on and slot well into the heart of defence alongside Andy Butler. Wednesday's reserve game also saw Ben Purkiss and James Chambers impress in the centre of defence, so we certainly have options to replace Dean Holden who will be suspended for the game.

Everyone else is fit and well and looking forward to the game. We've had a couple of good training sessions this week in preparation for the game where everyone has been firing on all cylinders and showing a determination to get us back into winning ways.
