TAYLOR HEADS OUT ON LOAN

26 October 2012

Youngster links up with Nuneaton...

THE SADDLERS have allowed youngster, Connor Taylor to go out on loan to Blue Square Premier outfit, Nuneaton Town for an initial month.

The front-man joined the club during the summer from Aston Villa, where he made good progress through the ranks after being plucked from Coventry Sphinx.

He had a loan spell in the Blue Square Premier last term with Tamworth and this season he has been an unused substitute on a number of occasions.

"Connor is a young lad who is improving all of the time," said manager, Dean Smith. "At this stage of his development he needs to be getting competitive games under his belt and this move allows him to do that at a good standard.

"We will monitor his progress closely at Nuneaton and I would like to think that when he comes back here, he will start pushing for a place in the starting line-up."

Coventry-born Taylor is set to make his debut in Saturday's home clash with Barrow.
