Second-string lose 3-2...
THE SADDLERS' second-string fell to a 3-2 reverse at Oldham Athletic."The attitude of the players was first-class," said reserve team boss, Richard O'Kelly. "They showed good desire and were outstanding for the opening 30 minutes as we put our hosts under plenty of pressure.
"We created a lot of chances and took a deserved lead through Ben George.
"Oldham managed to get back on level terms with a counter-attack and then took the lead just before the break.
"It was a case of us needing to push-on at the start of the second half and we were able to introduce James Chambers into the action.
"Unfortunately we were to fall further behind but went on to dominate the final half-an-hour and Kieron Morris was able to pull a goal back but, try as we might, we couldn't find the equaliser.
"Overall we performed well. The goals that we conceded were disappointing but there were positives to come out of the game."
