LIKE the team as a whole, summer signing, Ben Purkiss has started the season in solid fashion with some reliable displays in the right-back role.He put in another steady display to help us secure three points at Bournemouth on Saturday.
"It would have been an injustice had we not come out of the game with a win," he admitted. "We felt comfortable for much of the game, other than maybe the start of the second half when we were a little ragged.
"But we did well and it was nice to get goals from set-pieces, which we do a lot of work on.
"There is plenty of confidence within this team and we are enjoying the games coming thick and fast; we are playing with freedom and able to express ourselves and, as we showed on Saturday, we never give up. These qualities are certainly standing us in good stead.
"We are learning and developing as a team all of the time and will take that belief into Tuesday's game when we will be looking to extend our winning run against Leyton Orient."
