Annual Report and Accounts...
CHIEF Executive, Stefan Gamble, has today issued the following Statement:
"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to present the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 May 2012.
"As Football continues to attract negative headlines with a number of high profile administrations again this year, we are pleased to report that we have been able to ‘buck-the-trend’ once more by announcing that we have achieved a trading profit of £10,000. I believe that this represents a considerable achievement in what continues to be a very difficult financial climate and reconfirms our promise to reinvest all profits into the Playing side of the business.
"Throughout the period we continued to enjoy terrific support from all of our sponsors and commercial partners, both old and new. I would once again like to take this opportunity to place on record my personal thanks to those organisations who, despite sustained and widespread economic uncertainty, continued to back the Club.
"In particular I would like to thank outgoing sponsors Surestop, offer a warm welcome to incoming sponsors and kit suppliers SR Timber and JD Sports, as well as praising the ongoing contribution of long-term commercial partners Banks’s, ABS (Burton) Limited, Tile Choice, CAT Communications, Five Rivers, Walsall Housing Group, Sign Specialists and the Walsall Adult and Community College. We simply could not operate without such generous support.
"On behalf of everyone at Walsall Football Club, I would also like to say a big thank you to our supporters for their continued loyalty and commitment to the Club, and to assure them that all of our efforts and hard work are focused on continuing to give them a team and a Club to be proud of.”
