Saddlers hit nine...

THE SADDLERS romped to a 9-0 Central League victory at Wrexham on Wednesday afternoon.

Two goals apiece from Kieron Morris, Adam Chambers and Danny Griffiths plus further strikes from George Bowerman (who made five assists), Jake Jones and Connor Taylor gave us a convincing win against our youthful opponents.

"The attitude of the lads was first-class," said reserve team boss, Richard O'Kelly. "A lot of the players involved were also involved last night, so it's been a long couple of days for them.

"Credit to Wrexham , they kept going and our boys had to be on their mettle throughout.

"We scored some good goals and everyone played their part. The likes of Malvind Benning, George Bowerman and the Chambers twins gave a good account of themselves, whilst they were well supported by the youth team lads in the side."

WALSALL: Grof, George, Benning, J. Chambers, Preston, Jones (Flanagan), A. Chambers, Morris, Baxendale (Griffiths), Bowerman, A. Williams (C. Taylor). Subs not used: Roberts, Christopherou, Heath.
