FEBIAN FEELING GOOD

20 November 2012

Brandy on the mark for the first time...

FEBIAN Brandy opened his scoring account for the season in what was his first full 90 minutes of action for two years.

The diminutive front-man has had a frustrating start to the campaign due to injury but his past couple of displays have given plenty of cause for optimism with his pace and quick feet causing problems.

"It felt good to go to a place like Crawley and play well," he said. "As a team we need to use this as a stepping stone to get back to the kind of form we were showing earlier in the season.

"I was pleased to get on the scoresheet and hopefully more will follow for me now.

"The whole team was on the front-foot. We went there with nothing to lose and determined not to get beat, but in the end we were disappointed not to have taken home all three points.

"But our turn in fortunes has to start somewhere and now we move on to the next game. We have to take each game as it comes and concentrate on how we play and not what the opposition does.

"We have already proved that we can be more than a match for anyone at this level and there is still plenty of belief throughout the team.

"For me personally it was a big step to get 90 minutes of action under my belt. I haven't done that for around two years, so I want to build on that now, keep my place in the team and show people what I can do."
