Popular loanee glad to be back...
THE RETURN of Flo Cuvelier on an initial six-month loan from Stoke City has given everyone involved with the club a lift, including the player himself.
“I’m delighted to be back here,” said the talented 19 year-old with his trademark smile. “My main focus is to work hard and play to a consistent level every week and gradually build my game up.
“I want to do my best and make a contribution to impress the manager here and at Stoke.
“I know that I will be happy here and it is the right place for me to come and progress. When I first arrived last season, I had no League experience, but I felt that I adapted quite quickly and the Gaffer gave me the confidence to enjoy my football and improve.
“I have a positive attitude and want to win every game. It’s about concentrating on doing the right things and learning.
“League One was physically stronger than anything I had previously been used to when I first came here, but I got into it and also my fitness levels improved significantly.”
Cuvelier enjoyed a special relationship with The Saddlers’ faithful, who immediately took the Belgian Youth International to their hearts.
“The support of the fans was great,” he added. “It makes a big difference and was good for me as a young player learning his trade.
“The supporters have an important role to play this season.”
