Purkiss happy to have shaken off hamstring injury...
BEN PURKISS returned to action for the first time since the start of November last weekend after finally shaking off a niggling hamstring problem.
“It’s been a bit frustrating in the last couple of months because I got back into the team and then got injured," said the summer signing. "It was an injury I've never had before and it dragged on longer than I thought it would.
“It’s very frustrating sat in the stands when results haven’t been great. There’s been some good performances but we haven’t been able to cross that line.
“Last Saturday was almost the perfect return but it wasn't to be. Either way we should have been seeing it out and taking all three points.
“The problem is when we’re playing well we’re not winning, but hopefully that can change this weekend. We’re at home and we should be looking to win the game. If we start well and get a goal then we have to learn from our mistakes last week.
“They always say the sign of a good team is winning when you’re playing badly. We've got to make sure we win when we’re playing well first.
“The word is frustration, but you try to take the positives. I don’t think many people can argue we didn't deserve to beat Yeovil, but hopefully we'll learn from it. Unfortunately we let them back into the game and there’s no-one else apart from ourselves at fault."
