Boss ready for new season...
SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith has reflected upon our final first-team pre-season friendly as we went down to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Premier League neighbours, West Bromwich Albion."We kept trying to do the right things throughout the game," he said. "We got our reward with a goal right at the end, but the performance certainly gave me plenty of food for thought as we go into the new season.
"I was pleased with how we looked going forward; we played some decent stuff at times and generally there were plenty of positives to come out of the game.
"The goals that we conceded came as a result of individual mistakes and the hope is that we can get them out of the way now before the action starts for real.
"We'll be working hard in preparation for Saturday over the next few days to ensure that we are ready to hit the ground running."
