SADDLERS BEAT HARRIERS

1 August 2012

Saddlers come back from two goals down to win at Aggborough...

A BRACE from Jamie Paterson and a further strike from Will Grigg saw The Saddlers overturn a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 at Kidderminster Harriers.

"It was another good test for us," said manager, Dean Smith. "I wanted seven or eight of the lads to get a full 90 minutes under their belts and we managed to do that.

"We played some nice stuff at times and came close on a number of occasions during the first half.

"I was disappointed in the manner that we conceded both goals, that said, their opener was an excellent finish. But, credit to the players, they stuck to their task and kept playing the way I want them to and eventually we were able to open them up and get our reward.

"It was nice to see Jamie Paterson get two goals and also Will Grigg get his name on the scoresheet.

"Overall it was a pleasing performance for us."

The Saddlers are back in action this evening as we head for Redditch United (kick-off 7.45pm).
