PATERSON POSITIVE

Wide-man enjoying style of play...

WIDE-man, Jamie Paterson is enjoying the brand of football that The Saddlers are playing this season.

"It's been a positive start in terms of some of the football that we have played so far," said last season's Young Player of the Year. "The style is well suited to us all; we have been working on our strengths and hopefully it will serve us well during the months ahead.

"The new lads have brought energy and enthusiasm. They are all positive people and you can see why the Gaffer and Richard have brought them in. They all fit into the style we want to play.

"We've got a good squad with a great spirit around the place. The spirit was good last year, but the new lads have come in and taken it on, so it's all positive."

Paterson is ready for the challenge that Notts County will present to us on Saturday.

"Notts County will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season," he predicted. "We will go there with no pressure, looking to get the three points on offer.

"We can be more of a match for anyone and hopefully we will show that on Saturday.

"Last year we took a decent following with us and I am expecting more of the same this time around. The fans will give us good vocal backing and play their part in pushing us on."
