WE JUST want the games to start now. We have worked hard during pre-season and played some nice football along the way, but the most important thing is to start the campaign with a positive result.

We finished last term strongly and hope to continue that this season. Our supporters will be optimistic; we finished in our highest position for six years last season and we have the players to build on that.

I am pleased with the progress that we have made so far and the start of the season can't come quickly enough. It is always an exciting time for everyone involved in football and I can't wait to get started.

MK Dons are sure to be up there this season. They have some good players with the likes of Jermaine Easter, Sam Baldock and, of course, Jabo Ibehre all possessing plenty of ability.

There have been changes amongst both the playing and coaching staff, but as long as we prepare correctly and get our own house in order, that's all we can do.

Looking at League One, there are some big teams at this level who will be up there. We will be striving for consistency and to buold on last season.
