WE GO into the final game of the season with a tenth place finish still in our sights.

That has been our aim in recent weeks and our run of results over the past month or so has kept us in the race.

We've managed to pull points back on MK Dons; they go into Saturday's game with a lot of injuries and suspensions, but we know only too well that the players who come in for them will be hungry and determined to make an impression.

It means that we will have to display the right mental attitude and concentration in order to end the season with a winning result. We have to make sure that we are focussed on what we do and get our preparation right.

The club has continued to move forward. I want to be successful and make progress. Putting all things into perspective, we have done well this season but we always want to do better and improve.

The players will be in for a week towards the end of May as part of their maintenance programme where they will be doing functional things to try and prevent any strains when they return for pre-season training at the start of July. It won't be hard work, just a general fitness regime to keep them ticking over.

All that remains is to thank you for your support and backing throughout the 2009/10 season. It really is much appreciated by both myself and the players.
