I WILL be looking for us to repeat the qualities that were on display in our last home game against play-off hopefuls, Colchester United, where we ran out 1-0 winners despite playing for the entire second half with only ten men.

We worked extremely hard as a team and as a unit that day. The sending off just before the half-time interval was, obviously, a major decision and I said to the players during the break that they had to come out and play with their heads rather than their hearts for the second period, which is exactly what they did.

The players put in a real shift to beat a team in the top six and I was delighted for everyone concerned. It's all about focussing on today's game and building on the victory over Colchester. It's time to stand up and be counted and ensure that we end the season in a positive fashion looking upwards.

Everyone is working hard to do this and as a team we are determined to put together a positive run of results. This afternoon will be tough as we face a Wycombe Wanderers side who need the points in their attempt to pull away from the relegation zone.

It goes without saying that they will be well up for the task, so, once more, we will have to earn the right to play.

I thought that the support we received during our last game on home soil was absolutely superb and played its part in our eventual success.

More of the same is going to be required today and for the remaining games.

I hope that all Walsall supporters and their families had a very Happy Easter.
