CHRIS HUTCHINGS v YEOVIL TOWN, 1/12/2009

Posted on: Tue 01 Dec 2009

IT IS good to have a game so soon after Saturday's FA Cup exit and it will be interesting to see how the players respond to the defeat.

I was very disappointed to see us concede from a set-piece and over the 90 minutes, Brentford deserved to go through.

We didn't come into it until the final quarter; once Sam Parkin came on he caused problems and was a real handful. Arguably we could have had a penalty, but so could they and in the end it wasn't to be.

We really wanted to make progress in the competition, but now the important thing is to ensure that we bounce back in the correct way at Yeovil.

There are players waiting in the wings to step in and do a job. That's how it's always been and the way that it's got to be.

We know that it will be tough for us against well-organised opposition who will be refreshed having had the weekend off, but we go there determined to extend our unbeaten League run and strengthen our position within the top half of the table.

I would like to pay tribute to those supporters who will be making the long trip down to Huish Park and thank you for your excellent backing at Brentford on Saturday.
