I WAS pleased with the general performance that we put in at MK Dons last weekend. The disappointment was that we failed to take the chances that came our way and it cost us dearly in the end.

That said, if we can perform like that we will win more than we lose. Every team needs that bit of luck from time to time but sometimes you have to make your own luck - it's a two-way thing.

Exeter City will no doubt come here with a point to prove after a heavy defeat at Huddersfield Town last weekend. We will treat them with the respect that they deserve and know that we have to roll our sleeves up and work hard to get a result.

Paul Tisdale is a young, up-and-coming manager who will have his team well-organised and difficult to break down. It will be up to us to come out and get at them.

For us it is all about finding that level of consistency that will allow us to challenge in the top half of the table. There will be a number of other clubs saying exactly the same thing, but we've got to focus on what we've got to do.

There's a fine line betweem success and failure, but everyone involved with the club has a work ethic that will stand us in good stead.
