AFTER doing well in our last two games on the road, it is about time that we got our first home win of the season under our belts.

We always enjoy the week after any victory and it gives us added confidence to see ourselves in the top half of the table going into the game against a Swindon Town side who have bounced back well since their heavy opening day defeat at Gillingham.

I know Danny Wilson well; we played together at Brighton for a time and he will want his side to get the ball down and play. It's going to be a difficult game for us, but we will be looking to build upon our last couple of performances.

I was delighted to put pen-to-paper on a new deal earlier this week. It's good to know that the Chairman and Board of Directors recognise the work that Martin O'Connor and myself have done. Things are moving in the right direction here; there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes, we know what we are striving to do and achieve here.

By having good standards off the pitch, we will also get good standards on it.

As ever, I would like to thank our supporters for the backing that we received at Tranmere last weekend. You certainly played your part in our victory and I will be looking for more of the same on Saturday.
