WE DUG deep and showed tremendous character to pick up three points in our last game against a good Colchester United side and more of the same is going to be required at Northampton Town this weekend.

It's three games without defeat for us and it's important that we can establish a level of consistency. Northampton are in much the same situation as ourselves; we know that Ade Akinfenwa will be a handful and we will have to defend well, but at the same time, if we get a chance in the final third then we have the players who can tuck them away.

The players know what I want from them. As a team we need to defend better and be more consistent in our performance levels. You always have to strive to improve yourself and that is what we will be doing throughout the club.

We have to work hard and show the commitment and endeavour that has helped us achieve positive results in recent matches.

As ever, we will be looking for large and vocal backing from our supporters at the Sixfields Stadium. You have an important role to play and I know you won't let us down.
