JIMMY MULLEN v CHELTENHAM, 20/12/08

Posted on: Fri 19 Dec 2008

THE SPIRIT in the camp is excellent. We are all very positive and, although things haven't been going our way in recent weeks, we are confident in our ability as a squad.

The Christmas period is a very busy time for us and the games come thick and fast. We have a tough game against Stockport County on Boxing Day before travelling to both Tranmere and Carlisle. However, we're not looking past Cheltenham Town at this point in time.

They have made a few changes since we faced them in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and it will be a difficult game.

We all know how Martin Allen's team play and we will have to be up for the battle if we are to get anything from the game.

I have been pretty pleased with our away form overall this season but we have had a couple of blips of late. We need to put that right, starting this weekend.

Our away support has been tremendous all season and, with Cheltenham being just down the road, I'd like to think we will have a large following for the fixture. We have to make sure that we give them an early Christmas present and what better than three very valuable away points?
