WE DIDN'T deserve to lose at Oldham on Tuesday; the players gave it a right go and it was a much improved performance.

They were gutted at the end, but we're ready to go again and get back on track against Swindon Town.

We've got a lot to prove to our supporters, particularly at home, but I know that we are a much better team than our current home form suggests.

We proved against the likes of Scunthorpe [in the League], Southend and Carlisle what we are capable of. On those occasions we played with no fear and produced some great football. We have to get back to that and I know that we have the quality and ability within our ranks to do it.

The players need the supporters right behind them; they don't deliberately go out to make mistakes, but by the same token, we have to be mindful of the fact that we have to give them something to cheer about.

By working together we can overcome the challenge that Swindon Town will present. They go into the game on the back of three draws in a row and will be out to impress their new manager, whoever that may be.
