WE PLAYED so well in our last away game at Colchester and then followed it up with a poor performance against MK Dons on Saturday.

It's hard to understand; conceding an early goal on Saturday didn't allow us to get a foothold in the game and, all of a sudden, after just six minutes we were chasing the game and on the back foot.

We had chances in the second half to get back into it, but we couldn't take them. That said, we have to hold our hands up and say that MK Dons were a good side who passed the ball around well.

Despite Saturday's result, we are still on the tails of the play-off places and still positive. We have another tough game coming up this evening at Oldham and we have to make sure that we bounce back in the right way.

With four first-team regulars struggling to be fit, we can't afford to sit back and feel sorry for ourselves. We're tenth in the table and go there determined to bring home a positive result and maintain our challenge ahead of Saturday's home game against Swindon Town.
