AS WE prepare for our first-ever visit to Colchester United's new ground, the spirit in the camp is very good.

We're still just five points off the play-off places with a game in hand, so we're not a million miles away from where we want to be.

It is important that we continue to stay on the tails of those clubs in and around the play-off zone. We know what we've got to do and have proved earlier in the season that we are more than capable of doing it.

We have got a good group of players here and there are plenty of options within the squad. I have been concerned defensively in recent games as we've conceded some sloppy goals. We need to tighten up as individuals and as a group we must be more resolute and cut out the sloppy mistakes that have cost us.

We will prepare for Colchester in the right way. The players are up for the challenge and looking forward to it.

Colchester are a big, strong and physical side who will want to start improving their home record. They had a resounding victory over Carlisle United recently, but we've done well on our travels and will be looking to come home with the right result.
