EVERYONE is well aware that Tuesday's performance was totally unacceptable. As manager I will not shirk from my responsibility and don't have any complaints about those supporters who booed us off at the end.

The incentive was there for us and we didn't take it; as a group we fell well below the standards that we have set ourselves. 

Saturdays game gives us the opportunity to blow away the cobwebs and get back to winning ways against strong opposition.

On top of that it is the FA Cup and for me, it is the best competition in the world. It still has that magic and we will get the players bubbly and ready to go for the challenge that Scunthorpe United will present to us.

Scunthorpe have proved that they are the best team in this League and they will also be looking to put the fact that we beat them earlier in the season right. It has all the ingredients to be an enthralling contest.

I'm passionate about football and want to win every match. I was exactly the same as a player and had that will-to-win even in five-a-side training games.

I call upon you, the supporters, to really get behind the lads and play your part in helping us make it into the next round. By working together we can be successful.
