THERE are a number of options available to me as we make the long journey down to Brighton and it's a nice selection headache to have.

Anthony Gerrard still sports a black eye from last weekend, but he will be available for selection, Paul Boertien came through the full 90 minutes of Wednesday's reserve game with no problems, Stephen Hughes has trained well all week and is eager to get back into action, Dwayne Mattis did extremely well in his first game back last weekend and both Ishmel Demontagnac and Troy Deeney made goalscoring appearances for the second-string as we beat Oldbury United in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

It means that I have a squad of 18 outfield players all fighting for the 11 starting places. I have an adaptable group of players here and I fully expect them to be as focussed and committed as we were at Bristol Rovers.

If this is the case then we will give ourselves every chance of securing another positive result. We know only too well that it is another tough trip against physical, in-your-face opponents.

We are travelling on Friday morning and this will give us chance to have a couple of light sessions on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning so that we are as well prepared as possible.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those supporters who made the trip to The Memorial Stadium last weekend. You gave us excellent backing and I would like to think that this will continue on Saturday.
