I CAN'T wait for the season to get underway. The team is fully prepared and ready to go and I am enjoying every minute of it. The only pressure I feel comes from myself, but that is nothing new to me. I face the challenges ahead with great relish and excitement.

It's been a productive and fruitful summer. We've been able to add some real quality to the exciting young talent already at the club. The arrival of John Schofield as first-team coach has also been a massive boost to us. He's been there and done it with Lincoln City and is a great coach. We've already developed a good working relationship and long may it continue.

The season starts with a tricky trip to Yeovil Town. Like ourselves, they will have prepared properly and will be eager to burst out of the traps, as you would expect at this time of year.

They are a passing team who have done well in recent years. They have plenty of know-how at this level amongst their ranks and in Russell Slade have an experienced man at the helm.

We want to win as many matches as we can and play the exciting and enjoyable brand of football that we know we are capable of . The season starts here and I call upon the fans to get behind us straight away and give us the backing that the players deserve.
