SOUTHEND UNITED TEAM TALK
DESPITE picking up just one point over the Easter weekend, we are still in there fighting for a play-off place. There are seven Cup Finals remaining and a lot of twists and turns still to come.
If we can go to Southend and pick up three points, it will make things very interesting indeed. We know only too well that a couple of decent results will lift our confidence and morale for the final run-in.
Of course, Southend is a difficult place to go and then we have a home game against Tranmere Rovers, another side with play-off aspirations.
You have to look at any fixture and believe that you can win. If we play well then we are more than capable of going to Roots Hall and getting a result.
The players are relishing the challenge and I hope that we will receive the same sort of vocal backing from our travelling supporters that has been the case in our recent games on the road.
Now is the time for everyone to pull in the same direction.
