BRISTOL ROVERS TEAM TALK
I COULDN'T have asked any more of my players at Millwall on Tuesday evening. We have thrown everything bar the kitchen sink at them but haven't been able to get through.
We responded well to conceding both goals, especially the second. From 2-0 to the end, only one team was going to score.
But as ever with a defeat, what matters most is how you respond. And if how they responded to going 1-0 and 2-0 down is any guide then we will be okay.
It was our first defeat in 19 matches and that is a fantastic achievement at any level. Obviously we were disappointed to go out of the FA Cup, but we still have a proud unbeaten League record to improve upon and we will be raring to go at Bristol Rovers.
It's like falling off a bike; we want to get back on straight away, so we are hoping that the game will be on and we can get straight back into the action.
Our travelling support gave us excellent backing on a damp night at The New Den, and we will be looking for more of the same in what will be another tough test for us at Bristol Rovers.
