WE TRAVEL to Swansea City determined to give a good account of ourselves and make it through to the next round of the Carling Cup.

We remember the fantastic evening that we had against Bolton Wanderers last season and want to set up another encounter like that this year.

We go into the game on the back of a hard-earned draw against Carlisle United on Saturday. In hot conditions, there were a lot of good performances in the second half against a side who I fully expect to be in the top six come the end of the season.

It was hard for us to get to grips with their shape in the first half, but we managed to get it wide after the break and really stretched them. In the end there was only going to be one winner.

Martin Butler was forced to sit out of Saturday's opener with a virus, but we are hopeful of having him involved at the Liberty Stadium. That said, Carlos Carneiro came in for his Football League debut and got better and better as the game went on.

I thought that all the new boys settled in well and showed everone what they are about.
