I THOUGHT that we deserved to bring at least a point home from our trip to MK Dons last weekend. We were denied a clear-cut penalty, had two goals ruled out for offside and also hit the crossbar, but in the end showed great character to overcome these disappointments and bounce back from going a goal behind.

We return to home soil on Saturday having faced two tough away assignments over the past fortnight. Before going to Wycombe I stressed the importance of being able to extend our unbeaten run and now we have managed to do that we must ensure that we can make home advantage count.

Four of our final seven games are here at Bescot Stadium and we are going to require you to play your part by giving us the backing and support that we need and deserve to help us on our way.

We are staging our third Family Fun Day of the season on Saturday. The theme is 'Red Alert!' and you are all encouraged to wear something red. Our previous Fun Days have seen us receive some excellent support and more of the same is required at this most crucial of times.

We welcome an Accrington Stanley side who are battling for points in order to preserve The Football League status that they worked so hard to achieve last season. They will come here well-organised, difficult to break down and determined to work hard for each other.

It's another stern test for us and a time for strong minds and patience. The players are fully-focussed on the task in hand, yet at the same time there is an upbeat mood amongst them. Sunday's draw made it five games unbeaten. We are playing with confidence and creating chances, something that I hope will continue.
