THE SADDLERS completed the signing of Clayton McDonald from Manchester City on an 18-month deal on December 29th 2009 following a successful loan spell.
The 21 year-old, who is the son of former Walsall striker, Rodney McDonald, stands at 6'6" tall and his progression through the City ranks has seen him skipper the reserves.
He got his first taste of senior action with a loan spell at Macclesfield Town at the start of the 2008/09 season before ending last term on loan at Chesterfield.
Made his Walsall debut against Bury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and has proved to be a popular figure both on and off-the-field.
