THE HIGHLY-rated Irish youngster arrived at the club during the summer of 2005 and after completing a successful trial.
A tall and commanding figure, he has progressed well and was given the necessary clearance to allow him to be used as back-up goalkeeper for the first-team in 2005/06.
He was thrust into first-team action on September 17th 2005 for the visit of Chesterfield when Andy Oakes got injured in the warm-up and in total made three senior starts in 2005/06 as well as establishing himself as first-choice for the reserves.
Expected to carve out a good career for himself in the game if he continues to work hard and take on board what he is told, he earned International recognition for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s in May 2006 and saved a penalty on his full debut.
He failed to make a first-team appearance during 2006/07 as he suffered at the hands of injury, however his performances for the reserves were enough to earn him a one-year extension to his contract.
Allowed to link-up with local non-League outfit, Hednesford Town for the majority of the 2007/08 where he gained plenty of competitive experience. He was recalled to the Banks's Stadium in January 2008 as cover for Clayton Ince and did enough to earn a new deal in May 2008.
His development continued with 12 outings in 2008/09 and was offered a new deal at the end of the campaign.
