THE SADDLERS signed exciting winger, Lee Holmes from Premier League outfit, Derby County on loan until the end of the season on January 11th 2008.
The 20 year-old, who skippered the England Under-19 team, is a player of tremendous skill and ability. He came through the Academy ranks at Derby County, where he was under the wing of current Saddlers' coach, Eric McManus, to make over 50 first-team appearances, the first of which came when he was just 15 years of age.
He spent the second half of the 2004/05 season on loan at Swindon Town, where his performances earned him the Young Player of the Year award, before starting last term on loan at Bradford City.
An attack-minded left winger, he is looking forward to getting regular first-team football under his belt here at the Banks's Stadium and working with the talented youngsters in our squad.
