THE SADDLERS completed the capture of Northern Ireland International, Steve Jones from Premier League new-boys, Burnley on July 10th 2009 on a two-year deal.
33 year-old Jones is a front-man who can also play out wide on both wings, he was plucked from the non-League ranks by Crewe Alexandra in 2001 and went on to enjoy five productive years with The Alex where his pace and versatility served the club well in over 170 appearances.
His next move took him to Burnley where he figured 64 times for the Turf Moor outfit, whilst also having loan spells with former club, Crewe, Huddersfield Town and Bradford City, where he ended the 2008/09 campaign.
He put in some impressive displays for The Saddlers during the early part of the 2009/10 season before a niggling injury halted his progress.
Now firing on all cylinders, he is set to be a key figure in 2010/11.
